Ramsay | Dominion Bridge
Originally developed for the use of Riverside Iron Works in 1927 then sold to Dominion Bridge in 1929 this building was first constructed as an iron foundry. Other plants were added to the site later, including a steel shop and a plate shop equipped with two one-hundred ton cranes. The onsite facilities continually expanded until 1975 and formed the basis for the industrial uses, offices and studios that once operated in Ramsay. The character of the site is formed by the original brick Dominion Bridge foundry which conforms to the modern industrial architecture of its time.
As homage to the industrial roots of Ramsay, our Probat L12 roaster can viewed in full operation six days a week. At this off-the-beaten-path location, we offer all espresso based drinks off a state of the art Rosso Linea PB ABR, that you can find showcased in the centre of the cafe. Filter coffee can be enjoyed as a rotating menu of seasonal coffee brewed by batch via Fetco.
To be enjoyed with our seasonal coffee menu, you can find freshly baked pastries and treats dropped off every morning from our centralized kitchen. For a more hearty meal, a select menu of breakfast and lunch items are available all day within the cafe. Wifi is available and wall outlets can be found amongst the seating.
Enjoy your coffee or your lunch in the sunshine and amongst the gardens of our patio.
We look forward to hosting you soon.
