Perched at an impressive 1,900 meters above sea level, Mount Totumas Cloud Forest is a 400-acre sanctuary bordering La Amistad National Park, the largest highland preserved wilderness in Central America. This unique retreat seamlessly blends comfort and adventure, offering luxurious accommodations amid breathtaking cloud forest scenery. Beyond the panoramic vistas, guests find a world teeming with wildlife—birds, mammals, and tropical flora thriving in the mist-kissed treetops.

Established in 2008 by brothers Michael and Jeff Dietrich, Mount Totumas was founded with a vision of land conservation and a deep reverence for the diverse tropical flora and fauna. Today, a close-knit community maintains and enriches the property: the Rodriguez family oversees everything from coffee cultivation to cattle with unwavering devotion, ensuring that every aspect of this land reflects the sanctuary’s commitment to sustainability.

Mount Totumas “After the Rain” showcases a vibrant Geisha profile, opening with delicate jasmine aromatics and a bright lime zest flourish. Passionfruit sweetness emerges mid-palate, trailing into a smooth honeyed finish. Expect a crisp, lively acidity and a silky, tea-like body—qualities that have made Panamanian coffees world-famous and consistently celebrated in competitions like Best of Panama.

More About The Farm
  • Mount Totumas Coffee is a distinguished coffee producer located in the Chiriquí province of Panama, within the Mount Totumas Cloud Forest Reserve. Established in 2008 by brothers Jeff and Michael Dietrich, the 140-hectare reserve borders La Amistad International Park, Central America's largest highland national park. Initially focused on ecological conservation and eco-tourism, the Dietrichs expanded into coffee cultivation in 2014, planting their first 500 Geisha trees. Today, the farm boasts over 10,000 coffee trees, including varieties such as Geisha, Caturra, Catuai, and Typica, all grown at elevations between 1,800 and 1,900 meters above sea level.
  • The farm employs sustainable, ecologically-oriented practices, integrating native fruiting, flowering, and nitrogen-fixing trees among the coffee plants. This approach fosters a habitat conducive to birds and other wildlife, which aid in pollination and natural fertilization. The surrounding cloud forest ecosystem also plays a crucial role in climate regulation and soil preservation.
  • Mount Totumas Coffee has garnered international acclaim, notably securing 1st place in the Geisha Natural category at the 2023 Best of Panama competition and 6th place in 2024. Their Geisha beans are celebrated for exceptional clarity, floral elegance, and vibrant fruit complexity.
