Hideaway / Dark Roast

Really nice dark roast espresso with tasting notes and a nose of a warm brownie with some molasses. It's a bit one dimensional & I find doesn't last as long as most other beans I've tried - hence the 4/5. What I do enjoy is pulling a double shot with the bottom ⅓ slightly finer of Cherry Wild and then top ⅔ a medium grind Hideaway for a bit of complexity and red fruit with my chocolate - think Valrhona Manjari or Black Forest Cake. I will say I.XXI 88 mph is a similar but superior equivalent to this, though it's shipping from Ontario

I bought several bags of Rosso beans a couple of weeks ago because the Shop app hypnotized me into doing so. I really need to report them. Like i probably dont need more beans but i cant help myself…. I make espresso and the Hideaway is truly fantastic. As a dark roast fan we can get comfortable with the expected dark chocolate overtones and the ability to make solid Cortados or machiattos. But this blend really stands out with deeper compexity and sweetness. I love it straight up and if you add a bit of sugar the flavors are nuanced brilliantly. It is terrific and i highly recommend!!!

Darn, discovered this wonderful coffee only a few months ago ...and got in one more order ...just before the tariffs hit. I'll miss you Hideaway.
