About The Farm
  • This natural processed coffee is crafted by around 175 coffee-farming families in the Planadas municipality. Since 2019, Cofinet has provided technical support to farmers focused on natural processing techniques, and many growers now process at least part of their coffee as naturals.
  • Tolima is one of Colombia’s most productive coffee regions and has a strong presence in the Cup of Excellence and other competitions hosted by the Colombian Coffee Federation. The coffee is dried on raised beds or concrete patios, with the quality team closely monitoring the process to ensure even drying and optimal moisture levels for the beans.

Cherry Wild / Colombia

In the mountains of Planadas, Tolima, coffee is cultivated by smallholder farmers whose lives are woven into the fabric of their land and community. Here, collaboration has long been a source of strength, as families once isolated by conflict now work side by side to shape a thriving future. At the heart of this movement is ASOPEP, a cooperative of 168 farming families, many of them women-led. Since 2013, ASOPEP has championed both quality and progress—earning organic and Fairtradecertifications, building stronger infrastructure, and creating opportunities in education, healthcare, and even barista training. Their work reflects not only a pursuit of coffee excellence, but a vision for lasting growth and resilience in Planadas.
