Delicate and nuanced flavours present themselves in the form of mandarin orange, jasmine and other citruses. On the palette a sweet, candy-like peach will settle in and leave your mouth watering. You wouldn't believe this is a natural coffee. This is a coffee that should be enjoyed black as milk will overpower it's beauty.
This is one of the only coffees this year that we purchased without actually visiting the farm or mill. We tasted the coffee at Exclusive Coffees, our exporting partner in Costa Rica and immediately fell in love. The complexity and beauty of this coffee are on another planet.
You'll see on the bag that this particular offering scored over 88 points and therefore falls into a higher quality tier than some of our other offerings. It's a variety that Roger has been cultivating for many years now called Typica Mejorada. Essentially, he continues to reap the seeds from the strongest Typica trees and continually replanting to create a super species of Typica.
