This honey processed Red Catuai has a refreshing cup profile. Fresh navel orange presents as the dominant note, followed by raw honey as the cup cools. Look for stonefruit qualities commonly found in this growing region and a sweet and balanced cup throughout.

At the Farm, Santa Teresa 2000
We were first introduced to Santa Teresa 2000 through a blind cupping in Costa Rica. That year we purchased the coffee without visiting the farm and it was a brilliant natural Typica Mejorado. This is one of the only coffees that we purchased without actually visiting the farm or mill within recent years.
Santa Teresa 2000 is located in the stunning Dota Valley. This is a region that has set president to the World for what coffee can be. The region is famous for its micro-climate, its high altitudes, its fertile soils and its incredible coffee. Numerous times, a coffee from Dota Valley has been used to with World Coffee Championships.
Roger and his son Alex are inspiring coffee producers - they're focused on pushing specialty coffee through experimentation in post-harvest processing techniques, as well as planting new genetics to explore the world of coffee varieties. Recently, they opened a restaurant and coffee shop in the town of Santa Maria where they live. It's a lovely establishment, focusing on keeping some of the high end coffee they produce in the local market to share with their neighbours and tourists.
